rameau's ramblings

I like history and I like fantasy and I really like when those two are combined with Scandinavian mythology. That's what this was. It took me a while to remember what little I had learned and forgotten about ancient Scandinavian history and the bronze age, but I really didn't need to. All that I needed was right there in this book. The idea of the old and feared gods like Odin, Freya and Thor having been humans once was intriguing and it kept me enchanted for the few days it took me to read this book. I'm slow, I know.
