A reader who’ll try anything once, including bad books in search of good ones. Eclectic as her tastes are, she tends to gravitate to historical romances, realistic contemporaries, and some fantasy novels.
After avoiding this book for two hours and playing a game I've played through twice (Plants vs. Zombies), I picked up the book read two pages and realised I didn't have a clue what happened. Worse than that, I didn't have any wish to know. No inclination whatsoever to go back and reread to find out.
I honestly don't understand how this book was ever published. What made the query stand out from all the rest and what editor got past the first twenty pages and to the end of the manuscript? Someone, please tell me.
If Random House can publish such drivel from male writers, they surely can pick up a few more better woman science fiction and fantasy writers too.
