Pitiful, I know.

 

"Locke was a medium man in every respect—"

 

—including in writing. Technically it's all right. There are commas and full stops in place. The words used are English and comprehensible without a dictionary. Yet, I can't make progress. This book is bad. Why am I reading this when I could be reading something stellar written by a woman?
