The Lies of Locke Lamora - Scott Lynch

I want someone to convince me to keep reading this book.

 

I'm rolling my eyes at the writing and the story set up feels like a mash-up of all great fantasy clichés. I picked up a book about Chinese culture and read that instead of pushing myself through one more page of this.

 

So, please tell me. What's in those subsequent books that I've seen praised so high? And is it really worth me reading this crap to get there.
