Skybound - Aleksandr Voinov World War II fantasy love story between two men. That’s the shortest summary I can think of for this lovely little novella. I don’t know enough about planes and I’ve mostly forgotten the details of war I learned on my history lessons to really gripe about the historical accuracy, but the weekend holiday, the family gamekeeper connections, and the ending did stretch my suspend disbelief abilities. That’s why there’s the word fantasy in my nine word summary. And as the story didn’t wow me, three stars.
